Robert’s love for cars and racing started at an early age, when his parents gave him an electric Formula 1 car that he could race around at the speeds of up to…well, a snails pace, but we all have to start somewhere! Robert was born in Caracas, Venezuela and lived there until he was seven years old. Soon after, Robert and his family moved to Italy where he would begin the hopes and dreams of his racing career.

In Italy, Robert went to a Ferrari exposition with his father and instantaneously fell in love with Ferrari and the racing history of the Scuderia. From that moment onwards, Robert has been infatuated with racing and endeavored to become a successful professional racecar driver. Robert never had the opportunity to race karts or other mediums of motorsport because Robert held strong family values and stayed with his kin as his family traveled a great amount.

Yet, Robert exercised what he thought was the next best thing at the time: PlayStation and virtual simulator racing. Robert considers himself part of the ‘PlayStation Generation’ -learning the basics of racing from joysticks, buttons, and TV-screens, only dreaming that his TV-generated tread marks that were real. Soon after moving to Italy, Robert and his family were on the move again to Boca Raton, Florida.

Robert put his dreams of a racing career on hold due to the continuous distractions with moving and completing his grade-school education. With the help of his parents’ generosity and support, Robert set off his first steps (or laps, rather) on the track towards fulfillment of his motorsports mission – Robert completed the Skip Barber Racing School programs with great success and started to compete in the Skip Barber racing series.

Robert’s racing career started by winning his first ever race at the southern regional series and went on to finish fourth overall in the title chase, ultimately completing this series with one win, three podiums, and two fastest race laps. Robert was also the second highest ranked rookie in the Skip Barber series.

After the regional series, Robert jumped directly to the difficult Skip Barber National Series, being very competitive from the beginning. He competed against pilots with more than ten years of karting experience and multiple championships in karting and formula series. Today, Robert is a student at Lynn University majoring in International Business. Robert believes that it is very tough doing two things at once, racing and school, but nothing is impossible.
